Dining Room Inspiration

9 Oct 2014

Our new home is quite open plan with the kitchen overlooking the dining area and the living area to the left. With no walls dividing them,  as you can see with this horrid floor plan I have drawn.

The dining area must be functional enough to live permanently alongside the lounge area, and obviously this whole space will be one of the most popular areas of the house so it all has to work well.

I've been looking at quite a bit of inspiration via pinterest lately to give me ideas on what kind of dining set up and style we would like to go for. (pinspiration?)
Have a look at some of my favourites.

From Nordic Days.nl
From Vosges Paris.com
From Dig&Mig
From Trendenser.se
We have already found a table though that we both love, Josh especially, I think his heart is set on it now. I really enjoy it because it's something different, its a dining table with a concrete top. From Nick Scali furniture

We've picked some chairs to hopefully go with it as well.

We still can not wait to move in! My favourite thing to buy also is homewares & furniture so I am just super super excited.

Check out my Dining Area Pinterest board also, I'll be adding more pins for inspiration over the coming months!

  1. That table you've picked out looks so nice and I really like the first image. I love looking through home ware stuff and room inspirations, I can't wait till I'm able to have my own place to design.
