Wishlist Wednesday 26/2

Want want want.
Here's this week's Wishlist Wednesday.

Sew Your Own Owl Plush

My little buddy Stanley
Look at that little cutie! I'm going to show you how you can sew your very own owl plushie right here. I got him as part of an owl making kit, but with the pattern and your own tools you can make one too!

My Bedroom - Now

I love saving up and buying things for my bedroom. I just love all homewares and furniture. I enjoy decorating my room so much, I just cannot wait to have an entire apartment or house to furnish.

All of the main items in my room I have saved up and paid for myself, my family can't afford my constantly changing furniture and decor styles and they shouldn't have to.

Annie Leibovitz's Celebrity Disney Dream Portraits

I have always loved Annie Leibovitz's photography, her Vogue covers and photo shoots are to die for and she always has everyone looking so glamourous.

My favourite collection of hers though is when she photographs celebrities as Disney characters, and she has just released a few more.

Russell Brand as Captain Hook

emPOWERED - The Bag that Charges Your Phone!

Okay I have been looking for a pretty black leather clutch for ages and ages.
I wanted a rectangular zip up one that was chunky that I could just hold and tuck under my arm when I went anywhere, and I also didn't want it to have any stupid studs on it.

Deliciously Salty Soft Pretzels

Whenever I venture into the city, I always keep my eye out for places selling soft pretzels. They are a novelty to me! A delicious novelty. In Australia it's hard to find anywhere that sells them and especially not around here.

Wishlist Wednesday 19/2

1. The Elder Scrolls Online PS4
This stupid game is right at the top of my wishlist even though it would cost me a fortune and I really don't want to have to spend that much. $100 for the game. $70 so that my PS4 can online game, and $15 a week for membership to the play the game online. Not impressed Bethseda.

2. DYMO Label Maker
I love love being organised. I have wanted one of these for as long as I can remember. Which is sad but great at the same time. I will either get one soon or definitely when I move out. My boyfriend will probably become concerned about my labelling addiction.

3. Humans of New York Book
The HONY Tumblr is one of great beauty and I love it! The book can only be that but better seeing as it contains photos that are not on the website. I would like to collect a few coffee table books and think that this would be a great place to start.

4. Creme Brulee Tea
OH my god have you tasted this tea? It's so lovely. I was at my father's and he had some and I took some home in a little ziplock bag. But now I really need to go and buy my own pot of it.

5. Empowered Black Leather Clutch
For quite a while I have searched for the perfect black leather clutch. I've put aside money for it and I've just been waiting for the right one to come along. I've finally found it! A lovely black leather clutch, and BONUS it charges your freaking phone! The tech savvy girl that I am this is my dreaaaam.
Unfortunately these babies (and every other) are completely sold out! I'm on the waiting list. One day.

White Choc Chip Chocolate Cookies

Halt! Stop drooling on your keyboard. I know that this is fantastic and delicious but contain yourself.

I love baking! It's currently my favourite form of cooking and really the only one that I can do at all. But that's okay. Really who cares. Because cookies are wonderful.

These cookies are super easy to make as well, so add them to your Must Bake list.

Late Night Banana Smoothie

So it was 11:30pm, my tummy was a rumbling. I wanted something yummy and filling to eat but I didn't know what. Then I remembered how my Mum always has ripened bananas in the freezer. So it was banana smoothie time.

Let's Start From the Very Beginning...

The very best place to start.

Hello my name is Tegan. I'm 21 from an average sized town in Australia.
For a while I have run a tumblr called "Nifty & Crafty" that is mostly about sharing other blog's great DIYs and crafts and such, but I have decided to create a blogger to share some of my personal contributions.

Before & During - Renovating my New Bedroom

So I'm starting at when I first moved into my new house with my family. I finally got my very own room that I could paint and decorate as I pleased.

This was about a year ago now so I don't have any real before pictures, before we started with the painting or anything, but you can still see the ugly carpet that was there before it was replaced.

I went with a really nice grey as a paint choice, and decided to paint all of the walls not just one as a bold choice which was exciting.

Yuck creamy walls and vintage fan.
We were off to a good start. It took forever to tape all the edges! I really sucked at it as well...
My boyfriend was helping me, but it was a long process. Luckily one facebook post later and 7 friends came along to help. Roller and paint brush in hand, the rest of the walls and edges and tape were finished in no time. Thanks guys!

We celebrated with pizza.

For an amateur job I was in love with the results!

I love the grey walls with the white edges and ceiling, it's my absolute favourite. I had to hurry up and finish with my painting because our lovely new plush charcoal carpet was being put in the next day.

I have a lot of stuff.

Moving & unpacking is messy business as you can see. But look at that carpet! So lovely so plush!
My bookshelves are reflected in the mirrored closet, with a grey backing as well. I actually painted the backboard the same colour as my wall when I put the bookcase together. I like all my stuff against the nice grey rather than the bland old white of the bookshelves. I had to sand and primer the shiny backing before using a roller to paint on 2 coats of wall paint. Tada!

Okay well that is all for now on my bedroom progress. It's come a long way since these photos were taken. I can't wait to show you the after results!
