My Daily Bling

29 November 2015

I get complimented a lot on my earrings and rings and general jewellery and accessories, and I don't even mix them up day to day. I'm the kind of girl who gets good quality pieces that are versatile and go with everything. So there's no need to swap them with different outfits, they just always look good.

I managed to pick up a few more pieces while I was in Sydney as well. I'm a silver gal, specifically sterling silver. I often find that jewellery made with sterling silver is not that much more expensive than if it's silver plated, but it outlives it with no comparison. All of my jewellery is sterling silver. I no longer even bother with silver plated. What a waste of money.

My Earrings

I love my current collection and haven't wanted to switch them up for a while. I got my helix pierced a few months ago now, it's still kinda sore but I'm glad I finally got it done. I've just got a regular hoop there, common for those types of piercing. I loved the open hoop with spikes on the end but my hair kept getting caught in there.

My newest and most expensive piece of jewellery is my Sarah & Sebastian Star Earrings. Amazing and beautiful, I love these! I definitely won't be changing them up anytime soon.

The middle studs are my Direction Earrings by I am Jika.  I got these from the local markets, they are so different! I never see anyone with the same as me.

Finally are my little Hexagon Hoops (sold out) from ASOS. ASOS is actually pretty fab for affordable sterling silver earrings, that are good. But just be wary of hoops that close just by bending a bit of metal because I've had cute earrings that have just snapped because the close was crappy.

My Necklace

My beloved sterling silver necklace, I wear this constantly, in fact I just don't take it off. Sterling silver means it will just chill there in good quality until I no longer want to wear it. The Moon Chaser Necklace by 32.4 has two spots to clasp, so it can either be worn as a choker or a bit looser. It also has a doubled up chain on one side of the hoop, and a single chain on the other. This simple piece never intrudes on any outfit, and just sort of works as an iconic sort of style for me, which I love.

My Watch

My only piece that is in Rose Gold and not sterling silver yet still matches with everything. This Rose Gold & Black Watch by The Horse is an absolute favourite of mine. Never have I put it on and thought, nah doesn't really go with what I'm wearing. If I was to purchase another watch from The Horse, it would have to be the White Stone/Black Leather Watch they brought out this year. Beautiful!

My Rings

I was never a ring wearing gal, and then suddenly I was. It started with receiving them as gifts, and then purchasing them on my own. I love the look of well manicured hands with pretty rings.

On my left hand, I have my Krystle Knight Ring (similar) that I got from Josh for our 3rd Anniversary, how cute! The clear quartz on this is so sharp! But I love it. Sitting above that is my Pandora Black Enamel & Silver Ring. It's quite thin and simple so goes well with my quartz ring.
On the next finger over, I have my Carpe Diem Ring. I found this ring at a stall by the company Carpe Diem in Sydney, and fell in love! It's simple but it works perfectly on my left pointer finger.

On my right hand! I have my Karen Walker Mini Skull Ring, one of the first rings I was given, from Josh's sister Amy! At that point I was like, Are rings my thing?? Yes, yes they are. Finally on my right middle finger I have my Pandora Victory & Peace Laurel Ring, which I also got from a Pandora in Sydney. I was looking hard for a ring but was unsure what I wanted, and when I found this one it was perfect! It combines my love of rings and plants!

Not pictured is a final ring I've just ordered for myself, The Full Moon Crystal Ring by Krystle Knight. I want it for my ring finger on my right hand. I had to special order in the smaller size because the 6 didn't fit my finger!

Bracelets?

I had one cute bracelet but it snapped, so now I'm on the hunt for pretty sterling silver bracelets! I'll find some!

  3. I love ALL of these pieces - all of them! Especially the direction earrings (a little bit gutted that they aren't on general sale as I would have snapped up a pair!) I'm like you - this time last year I only wore my engagement and wedding ring, now I have too many too choose from - I love mixing up different styles and sizes of rings on different fingers.

  4. So much pretty! I'm not actually a jewellery lass. I find it really pretty, but just feel it doesn't suit me at the moment. Maybe when my hair is longer, I may find more of a style, and wear some!

  5. I really love your style, and I love the watch especially! I'm with you on having simple versatile pieces, I used to wear loads of costume jewellery but I kinda grew out of it.

  9. Gorgeous accessories! I have been eyeing off The Horse watches for ages, they are so stunning and minimalistic that they would go with everything I own. I love this post, it's all about the little accessories.

  13. Love your earrings. I also think that buying versatile quality earrings go a long way. I have in total three pair of earrings and that's it. They were quite expensive I admit. One pair of them are
diamond earrings...but I am sure they will last forever. I think that one day I will even be able to pass them on to my kids or grandkids.
