The Final IKEA Shop

7 January 2015

On Sunday, January 4th, Josh & I made our final and largest IKEA venture. Shopping list in hand as a guide, we set off to furnish the rest of our lovely apartment.

We went to IKEA Tempe this time, as it had everything we really wanted in stock. Did you know Sydney now has 3 IKEA's!? 3! That's just greedy, 2 hours north in Newcastle we still have none.
Moving on, IKEA at Tempe covers the ground size of 20 soccer fields! And is the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.  We were there for 5 hours! I don't even know how, and I was exhausted by the end, and feeling pretty light (money wise) after spending a huge chunk of my savings on furniture. (That's what I had been saving for)

| 1. KALLAX 2x4 Tallboy | 2. STOCKHOLM Beige TV Bench | 3. NITTORP Turquoise TV Bench | 4. STOCKHOLM Dining Table | 5. FRIHETEN Dark Grey Sofa-Bed | 6. RANARP White + Gold Work Lamp | 7. STOCKHOLM Nest of Tables | 8. KALLAX 4x4 Shelving Unit |

Woo! These are only our main large purchases, not shown are the rugs, various decor and frames we bought. As well as our desk situation which we built from different pieces at the Table Bar. We'll show you that when it's set up!

It all got delivered yesterday, and we are still in the process of putting it all together, obviously.  Because IKEA stuff. I am so so excited to show you everything!

Cya! xx

  7. Yay! I'm so excited for you, I just moved too and it's so fun being able to finally decorate a place the way I want it. Weird coincidence there's a Tempe Arizona too so I was really confused when I read that (for a minute I thought you flew to Tempe from Australia to buy furniture *facepalm*).

  8. I love IKEA! The nearest one to me is just over 2 hours away so unfortunately I don't go very often, but I love going! Can't wait to see your apartment, I think we have quite similar taste based on the pics I've seen, exciting!

  9. What a great haul!!! Ikea can be so exhausting, I totally get you. I am super lucky and have an Ikea a 12 minute tram ride away so I can literally pop down there for breakfast or a quick purchase. Con = having to carry the stuff back on the tram so I get delivery if I buy anything substantial.

Great stuff your home will look fab! Bec x

  12. I love the Kallax shelves! I've been wanting some like those for ages (I've always just called them "box shelves", not knowing the actual name), so I'm hoping to get some when we move to our new house for my sewing room :) The sofa looks lovely too, loving that colour at the moment.
