June Catch Up

13 July 2016

I've neglected my poor little blog and I actually had some free time to post but I didn't! You know when you just procrastinate something so hard and then it just gets even further away? Yeah. I accidentally did that with blogging. I had all these ideas and then I was just like nah.

June has been a pretty good month though, a lot has happened as I'll fill you in down the line!

PS. I'm currently listening to "Over You" by SAFIA and it's pretty great.

Outfits Worn

It's been bloody cold. Winter has finally arrived. I bought myself a fleece lined anorak from Assembly the Label and I have been wearing it all the time. Such a good purchase. The top in the first photo on the second row is my absolute favourite! MinkPink can you believe it. I'm also loving having short hair, I've got another trim coming up shortly to help maintain the length.

You can see in the final photo a small peek at my house as we got a new mirror for downstairs, from IKEA. Bless IKEA you good thing. The huge mirror was only $90 which is an absolute bargain and I love it. So probably less work outfit photos and more taken at home. Except when the lighting is absolute garbage.

Films Watched

So here is where I share any new movies I've watched for the first time. My favourite here was probably Finding Dory. It was super delightful. Sisters is hilarious, why did it take me so long to watch?? The Legend of Tarzan is the story after the original Tarzan story which was different but still alright. Finding Dory was just amazing, of course. Me Before You was good but I definitely understand why it is getting so much hate. Allegiant was pretty disappointing to be honest and they changed the ending from the book but I don't know if that's better or worse. Kung Fu Panda 3 was good but not as good as the other two.

Notable Moments

The most notable moment of all this month. Having this beautiful fur baby join our lives. We finally got a kitty! After all my rants about not being allowed to get a cat, we just went ahead and got one anyway. Surprise! Hey it's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.

Meet Coco, our beautiful rescue Ragdoll. She was abandoned as a kitten because she was a bit sick. People are jerks, but Coco is very lovely. We knew we wanted to get a kitten soon, and I had been prowling petrescue.com.au but every kitten I forwarded to Josh he shook his head and said not yet not yet.

Then this little beauty popped up on the Kittie Kat Rescue page. A rescue group I had started following on facebook. Coco, named Bunnykins at the time, had been recently adopted out but had been returned due to unfortunate circumstances with the new owner. I showed Josh the photo of her and well the rest is history. I'll be doing a proper post on her soon so keep an eye out!

Btw Kittie Kat Rescue is run by a lovely lady all by herself, she works 6 days a week, doing ridiculous hours just to fund paying for all of the supplies. You can help her out by donating here.

What's in Store for July?

Well because I've been so crap at blogging lately, it's already 2 weeks into the month. It's been pretty good so far I would say. I just wrote a list of 6 blog post titles/ideas, so I have no excuses not to write them up!

My mum will be here in half an hour so that will be the end of my blogging for today. I work until 4pm tomorrow so I can blog after that, and on Friday I work before going to see my sister perform in Hairspray! It's a giant musical production thats on at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre. I can't wait to go and see it! Josh goes away shortly for 10 days with friends in Melbourne. So that will be pretty shit. I promised to be nice about it if I got a cat. So I guess I can try my best.

Cya! xx

  3. Oh gosh, Tegan, Coco is an absolute beauty! I saw her on your Instagram page making her debut and liked her immediately. Non-profits like Kittie Kat Rescue are really the reason why I still believe in humanity.

It always sucks when your loved ones leave your side for a while, but I hope Coco keeps you company well, haha. Enjoy July, Tegan. x
