What's in My Bag?

Flat lay of my handbag contents spread out, including wallet, sunglasses and lip products

I've seen a lot of people do these posts, and I think they work because people are, at heart, stickybeaks. (Do people say stickybeak outside Australia? They should.) We're nosey. I'm the first to open someone's cupboards and drawers looking for absolutely nothing. So in that spirit, here's what was living in my bag.

  • Status Anxiety wallet. One of my precious brown leather babies, the perfect size for all my cards and cash. I'll probably only ever buy wallets from them now. Unless something better turns up, obviously.
  • A small pack of tissues. My nose runs all year round, so my bag usually fills up with half-used tissues. Currently clean, but that won't last.
  • Tampons. Did it ever hurt anyone to be prepared? The scouts were onto something.
  • Ear care antiseptic spray. I got three new ear piercings recently, my helix and a third lobe, and I really didn't want them getting infected, so I went to town cleaning them. Handy to keep a spray on the go.
  • Revlon Colour Burst Lacquer stick. Have you used one of these giant crayon things? They're fantastic. This one lives in my bag permanently for whenever I need a bit of colour. The dark shade is perfect for winter, though I'll probably grab a nude one for the warmer months.
  • Keys. Need to get into the house and car, and the garage clicker is on there too. Most importantly, my "everything is awesome" Emmet keychain, who is secretly a torch and genuinely useful far more often than I expected. Love you, little lego guy.
  • Status Anxiety "Premonition" bucket bag. I figured a new job deserved a new bag. Excuses, excuses. It has room for everything and pulls closed with little tassels. There's a second shorter handle I was sure I'd hate, and it turns out to be really handy. Never too late to jump on the bucket bag trend.
  • Blistex lip balm. There is nothing worse than chapped lips, and the wind will get you in any season. PawPaw ointment does not work, feel free to google the many reasons why. Blistex does.
  • Kitti Black shades by Quay Eyewear.* Sent to me by PureModa, and so glam. I picked them Monday afternoon and they arrived first thing Tuesday, which is exactly what you want from online shopping. I worried they'd be a bit too cat-eye for me, but they're perfect.

Thanks for having a looksie in my bag. Drop a link in the comments if you've done a similar post so I can have a nosey through yours. And if stickybeak isn't in your vocabulary yet, please fix that.
