Waking up with Di Bella Coffee

4 October 2015

I had actually never had plunger coffee before, and even had to google how to actually use a coffee plunger! Is that crazy? I don't know how common they actually are. I guess because my parents were tea drinkers.

When I got asked by Di Bella Coffee to choose a coffee blend to try, it took me a little while to settle on a coffee that sounded just right. Something perfect for me. I love sweet drinks, and I probably put way too much sugar for anyone who has more of a refined coffee palate.

After reading about each individual Di Bella Coffee, I was finally sold on the Premium blend with the words, "hazelnut", "caramel" & "butterscotch". These the flavours for me thanks.

When I opened the bag of Di Bella Coffee I was hit with the amazing smell of the ground coffee immediately and it was oh so good. I had to get Josh to smell it as well, and let's just say it was a fan favourite.

It was already at the perfect blend to use with the plunger so we didn't have to do anything else there. But if you like to grind your own beans, that's an option on the store website too.

Once I had boiled the kettle, and poured the water on top of the ground coffee, I left it to steep for about 5 minutes. Before putting the plunger in and then pouring the coffee into a mug.

I also added sugar and milk, because what can I say, I love my coffee sweet.

I was very impressed with the flavour and actually really enjoyed the taste of the Di Bella Coffee. On my first attempt to drink real coffee made in my house.

Though normally I drink Hazelnut Lattes from nespresso sachets. I will definitely mix this into my daily routine a little more now. Even though it takes a tad longer, so I might leave it for days when I'm not rushing to get to work.

If you would like to grab your own Di Bella Coffee you can find it available here.
Cya! xx

How do you make and drink your coffee at home? Are you more of a cuppa tea person?

  1. Oh wow, I've never had a plunger either, that looks so fun haha. In a weird way, like you're brewing some sort of magical potion. These blends sound divine. Adult life, when you get super excited about coffee >.<

  6. It sounds absolutely lovely! I'm coffee over tea any day and can't live without a cuppa coffee a day, haha. I prefer my coffee black, though; sweet stuff gives me headaches, oddly enough.

  9. I've been meaning to get my own coffee supplies, but it slips my mind pretty often haha. I used to like my coffee sweet, but it doesn't taste that great anymore to me - I definitely prefer milk only or just black!

  12. I have never tried Di Bella Coffee and I am a pretty huge coffee fan. In an ideal world, I would make coffee at home but it's usually after I have waddled into the door at work and have to settle for their mediocre blends - not complaining, just saying :) Is your preference to do French Press?

  13. I used to use a plunger all the time but now have graduated to the stove top 2 cupa! With the accompanying milk frother I recently decided to read the instructions on best practice and was amazed at the difference in flavour (when brewed correctly). This too I got from the Di Bella website, plunger coffee is now so passé!
