So on the 12th of September, the iPhone 6s was available to preorder. My 2 year contract with Optus was about to run out, and I needed to switch sim providers. As I have basically no reception in my house. And as we don't have a home phone, me being able to receive and make calls from my mobile in my own home is pretty important.
To buy the new iPhone 6s, in Rose Gold 64GB on a plan with Telstra, it was going to cost me $100 per month. Which is quite a bit to be putting aside each week. Seeing as I'm great at saving my money, I had enough to buy the phone outright. Which meant I could go onto the BYO plan for $50 a month. So that's where I'm at now. I just sold my iPhone 5s last week too, so that's some extra cash for me.
What's on my Phone?
I've seen a few people doing posts like this, and I love love apps. I love being organised and having quick access to everything. It is what I live for. I love being able to answer any question I have almost immediately.
So here are a few of my favourite apps that I have on my phone.
INSTAGRAM
Obviously it's no surprise that I have this, and that it's probably my favourite and most used app. Especially now that I have the new phone and an even better camera. I have been trying to seriously up my insta-game. Everyone else's photos look even better on the beautiful screen as well.
FOURSQUARE
I'm all about exploring the city and finding new places to eat and browse and explore. (I even added an "explore" category to my blog now!). Finding cafes that are nearest to me right now, seeing what tips people have left behind about service, trade secrets or best things to order. Leaving my own tips and photos! I seriously dig Foursquare. I go through phases of being super addicted to it as well.
If you review and leave enough tips at certain places you can become an expert at them. My expertise is cinemas and clothing stores. To no one's surprise.
MOVIES BY FLIXSTER
This app is the whole package. Allowing you to check for movie times at your local cinema, as well as tracking what films you want to see and letting you review them. You can also see how well a film is going on both critic and general audience ratings. I use this app to keep track of everything that is coming out and to see what the general consensus of a film is. If I was unsure about seeing a film, but see that it has amazing reviews and ratings from all people, then I'd likely go and see it. A must have for any movie buffs!
SIDEREEL
This one is for the TV Fanatics. As I am both crazy about movies and tv I clearly need both apps. This lets me track the ridiculous amount of tv shows I try and follow at one time. It tells me when they are coming out, which season and episode, what shows have been renewed or cancelled. Best of all I can tick off episodes and seasons I have watched so that I know what I am up to! It is my favourite tracker ever and it's completely free. You can follow my profile and marvel at the amount of tv I somehow find time to watch, over here.
Special Mention
I have quite a few apps on my phone, but here are some more that I use on the daily.
Spendee
My beloved money tracking app. If you haven't seen me ramble about this before on multiple posts. Well you can see what I've said here.
Twitter & Facebook
Obviously. This doesn't really need a link. Because of course.
Afterlight
My go to photo editing app. It isn't free but for the price and how often I use it. 100% worth it.
Brightens photos like a dream.
Parcel
Enter in all of your tracking details for all of that online shopping you've done and you can see how they're going, all in one place.
Run Pee
An oldie but a goodie. This app's main purpose is to tell you when it's safe to quickly run to the bathroom during a movie at the cinemas. But I just use it to tell me if there's a scene after the end credits. Gotta wait for that.
My iPhone Case
I bought myself a beautiful marble phone case from Made by Fabrix after seeing it over on Amelia Goldie's blog. (blog advertisement ladies and gents, it works). But each marble case is custom printed so they're all unique. Including shipping it was only about $40 AUD. So that's pretty good for such a lovely case.
Josh loved it so much he made me buy one for him in black, so just waiting on it to be delivered too. Best purchase though, I love it! That photo is overly contrasted so the darker colours in real life are a lot lighter.
Do you have any of these apps on your phone? What are some of your most used and loved apps?
