My skin has been terrible this season. Well mostly the previous seasons. Autumn & Winter. I'm not sure what it is but my face and skin just hates the cold and I break out and my skin peels away as well. It's a terrible combination and I hate it.
I was only just thinking that I need a new range of skincare products, when I absent mindedly entered a giveaway on Julie's blog, to win a whole pack of skincare items. Having forgotten I'd even entered I was super surprised to receive an email telling me I had won a pack of Natural Instinct Skincare products! The goodies arrived 2 days later and I have been testing them out ever since.
You guys are all going to love this brand because this company is completely Vegan and does Not Test on Animals. While this isn't something I go out of my way to look for, it is definitely a plus in my book!
All their products are also made in Australia, come in recyclable packaging, and aren't made with any harsh chemicals at all. So when they wash down the drain they're not doing anyone or anything any damage.
I received three different cleansers in the pack. A facial scrub, cream cleanser and a foaming cleanser. All of them are enriched with Kakadu Plum, an antioxidant that helps with skin clarity.
The foaming cleanser is good for in the shower, to use on a regular basis. I foam it up in my hands first before applying to my face. It also contains Goji Berries.
The Cream Cleanser I like to use at the sink in the morning. I can smooth onto my face and remove it easily without having to dunk my whole head under water.
Lastly the facial scrub I used about twice a week to help remove impurities from my skin. The exfoliant is actually made from finely ground walnut shells! So no bad stuff is going and sitting forever on the ocean floor, becoming a pollutant. I will definitely not buy any scrubs that have microbeads in them as they are so bad for the environment! (read here!)
I use the Nourishing Moisturiser as a daytime cream. It smells amazing, and contains both almond & rosehip oil. My skin feels so so soft after applying this in the morning.
The night cream I obviously put on before I go to bed. I have it's cute little tub sitting on my bedside table. It claims to give 12 hours of continuous hydration, and I've got to say my nose hasn't been peeling when I wake up since I've been using this.
Finally we've got the last two items, that I really like as well. Having a new and delightful smelling face wipe has given me the boost I needed to make sure I'm really removing my makeup properly at night. With Glycerin, Aloe Vera & Rosehip oil, my skin feels softer and smells lovely after using it to remove the day's makeup. They're also biodegradable!
I have been commenting on blogger's posts for ages, whining about wanting to try a face oil and now I have finally gotten the chance. I love this little bottle of rejuvenation. Using the dropper I put a few dabs on my fingertips and smooth the oil on my cheeks, nose and under my eyes. Before I put on my moisturiser day and night. Under my eyes is usually really dry and icky and the oil has really been helping.
I'm so lucky to get this opportunity to trial so many different products by Natural Instinct. I will see how my skin goes in the long run before I decide to repurchase any of the products. But I'm currently enjoying how my face smells like roses all the time. It has been lovely!
They're all really affordable to repurchase as well, available from Priceline, with most about $9.95. Except for the night cream & the rosehip oil which are $19.95 each. So it's really affordable.
Cya! xx
