My Skinstitut Skincare Routine from Laser Clinics Kotara

21 August 2019

I've been overhauling my skincare routine with Laser Clinic Kotara and I told you all in the post about my first visit a little bit about my experience there.
My LCK therapist went through a Skinstitut catalogue with me and addressed each product that she would recommend. Then she filled out a guide book with all the products that we had chosen and wrote down how to use them as well as how often I need to. Including whether or not I need to use them morning and night or every day etc.
LCK utilises a 5 a-day programme when it comes to your skincare routine. So that in 5 simple stages you can ensure radiant skin.

I received so many great products to create a thorough daily skincare routine. It took me about a week to get the hang of everything, and what order to put the products on and when. But luckily they came with a little guide book which was very helpful during the initial period.

Cleanse

First up in the Cleanse category I received three cleansers that I rotate through during the week. I generally double cleanse with the gentle cleanser first and the L-Lactic Cleanser second. Morning and night. Then a few times a week I use the Glycolic Cleanser to exfoliate.

Exfoliate

I've been using the Enzymatic Micro Peel more lately and I'm really liking it. Generally, I just pop it on for 15 minutes before rinsing off, but you can also wear overnight. It makes my skin feel very soft afterwards.

Correct

I have three products that fall into the "Correct" category.
I use the Rejuvenate 15 Serum of a morning and the Retinol of an evening. I mist my face with the Multi-Active in the morning and evening before I apply my moisturiser.

Hydrate

For a moisturiser, I have been using the Moisture Defense - Ultra Dry. It is super thick and soaks in nice and fast. Making my skin feel nice. It's been great throughout Winter as my skin has been very dry. This is my final step of an evening.

Protect

The final step in my routine of a morning is applying SPF. One of the most important steps as protecting your skin from sun damage is crucial. Especially living in Australia!

How is it Going?

I absolutely love that I have been handed an entire skincare routine that suits my skin type. In the past, I have used random things that have been gifted to me or just browsed department stores for what looks good. There's something amazing about having it all finally figured out.

Going to Laser Clinics Kotara and getting them to create an entire routine for me was probably the best thing I have done for my skin.

I have been using this routine religiously since I received it, and while I had a bit of a breakout purge at the beginning, which is to be expected. It has all evened out now and my skin has become a lot more used to the products.

Comment or DM me on Instagram if you have any questions about any of these products!
