Why I Should Get a Cat

18 January 2016

Now this isn't a post that's meant to convince anyone to let me have a cat. It's just a post where I can ramble on about kitties and how much I would like one, and probably just make me feel sad at the end because I do not have a cat.

So here are some good reasons, why I should get a cat.
- I would buy it the finest cat things, because Josh and I already keep a reasonably trendy household and we would only have pretty cat accessories. As that is just who we are.
This Wicker Sleeping Den would go well with all of our current decor, as well looking incredibly cosy.  Less stylish but 10x as cute is this adorable Shark Den! You would be sure to see 1000 instagram photos of a cat in this.

This Wooden Food Tray & Ceramic bowls would certainly look fine sitting out in the open all the time, I wouldn't even mind if I had to put this Cat Placemat underneath.

Then there's this neat cat Grass Planter, so your indoor cats can still get their grass noms on. I'm not sure where I'd put the litter box, but this Hidden Litter Box, has a plant in the top! So that would blend right in. Either way this Cat Loo sounds like it does a pretty good job of keeping odours at bay.

- I really want a pet again. I miss my puppies that live with my Mum soo much. One day I just had a massive sook at my house because I miss them so much. Pets can really brighten your day when you're having a shitty time. You never have to come home to an empty house, there's always a little furry friend waiting for you.

- I've never had a cat but I've always wanted one. That being said I'd be pretty disappointed if my cat wasn't a cuddly one. Can I raise it from kittenhood to be super cuddly? I'll give it no choice!

- I'm on the computer a lot, so the kitty can sit on my keyboard and be annoying but also incredibly adorable at the same time.

- He would be an internet sensation! You know because I blog, and I instagram, and cats basically own the internet, so in turn, sensation!

- It would release my inner cat lady. There is a cat lady in me just dying to get out. Just think of all the cute decor and accessories I can finally gather, as I finally become what I've always truly been! Maybe. I also love dogs a lot, but then again I just love all animals in general.

Anyway I totally get it. I mean I haven't come to terms, but I understand that I'm not getting a cat anytime soon. But I just want to say I would be a great cat mum. I would just smother their little fluffy bodies, with love!! Gently!!

For now I will just work on being a crazy cat lady, but with plants. The Crazy Plant Lady. Ahh yes I can see my reputation preceding me now.

Goodness I can only talk about cats for so long, good night! xx

  1. To be honest, I wouldn't mind living in that shark den, if they did one for us human folk.

  3. Many will probably look at me with disdain when I say this but I have never really loved cats. I think they are cute but they scratch and can be pretty bitchy, as well as that they are über independent. I had cats growing up and really only liked one! Black with green eyes - such a beaut!

Dog lady over here - soz! Great post though and I kinda want a kitty just to have all the cute things! x

  4. I love cat things, I find cats adorable but I'm afraid of them, to touch and or if they touch me. I don't even know why I'm scared of them, but this year I'll try and attempt to get rid off that fear I have. Because hello, everyone knows they're the cutest.

  6. I love al the cat accessories! And cats are so funny - funny cat videos are fantastic! If it wasn't for the fact that I'm allergic to cats we would've got a cat rather than dogs. They're independent enough to look after themselves whilst you're at work! x

  8. As a former ailurphobe turned cat lady, with five cats and knitting them each sweaters, HECK YEAH YOU SHOULD GET A CAT. Be that stylish cat lady, with all the cat antiquities. Hahaha!

Also, cats are always an internet sensation even without the internet. Have you seen a cat looking at itself in my mirror or acting like a dog? It's hilarious!

  17. Absolutely loved this post! We have three cats in our house (so we are definitely known as the "crazy cat family" around here...) and I read this post out loud to my sister (who laughed, agreeing with it ALL).
I am loving all those cat accessories posted too...I think we might need some on of those...

  18. Haha!! I really enjoyed this. It's not what I expected but they are all amazing reasons.
Although I'm not a cat person, I can vouch for what a pet brings to your life! It's not quite a den but my dog has a cage and he adores it, I like to go in there too :P

  19. Cats are silly, adorable, loving and very low maintenance. How I wish I can have a cat but I am not sure if I can take the commitment and responsible, especially my changeable expatriate life. Hope you find your perfect cat!
