Mac's Velvet Teddy

I'm sorry if anyone clicked on this post curious on how I'd be writing about velvet teddy bears. This is hardly that exciting, or is it more so? I think a lot of people have been on the hunt for a quite a while to find the perfect nude lippy.

One that is light, and closer to your skin tone, but doesn't blend in and is still pink. It's hard to describe but we all have that perfect nude shade in mind. The one that would suit us and our skin perfectly.
Velvet Teddy is my second Mac Lipstick purchase after falling in love with the first that I bought in the US. Not counting the current exchange rate, Mac is significantly cheaper in the US. Think drugstore price makeup here in Aus.

That's pretty much Mac overseas. Our lipsticks, $36, theirs are about $16. That doesn't change with the fluctuation of the dollar either.

Enough complaining about the price! This lipstick is definitely worth it's cost. I pretty much only enjoy matte lipsticks, or ones with a very slight shine, so Velvet Teddy is fab in that way.

The shade on my lips is only slightly pinker and lighter than my regular lip colour, and I don't feel like I need to add anything to it to make it not too bold for me. It stands out but in a subtle way.

I currently have the Mac Lip pencil, "Absolutely It" which I love but it's probably a bit dark for this current shade of lipstick. But the lip pencils are $42 in Australia! They're only $20 in the US. (which is $28 AUD)

Whatever. There's a lot of talk about how great this lipstick is, and I think the shade did live up to expectations. It's currently my fav daily shade!
Have you got Velvet Teddy? Have you been keen to try it out?
