March Round Up

5 April 2016

March was a month of fitness and looking after myself. Or at least was intended to be. I'm not sure if it took me starting to eat healthy and exercise, as well as taking daily vitamins to realise how often I get sick? This year especially. How many times I've said to myself this year, oh yes I would blog today if I wasn't so unwell today.

Starting with this month's Couch to 5k mission, that was successfully halted with me getting a mole removed from the inside of my big toe. Mixed in with this somewhere I believe I got the flu yet again, as well as a rather unfortunate bug that took away one of my rare Saturdays off work. What a wonderful month!

Outfits Worn

I spent way too much on clothing this month. Oops. But two of my favourite purchases which I wear with no regrets are my black midi skirt and denim jacket. Both pictured. They are definitely now staple pieces to my wardrobe and I will wear them a lot.

When my foot was wrapped with bandages, the only shoe that I could fit on that also didn't squeeze my toes together was Josh's mum's birkenstocks. So in Melbourne every single outfit I wore had to be paired with the same pair of shoes. Oh the horror! Ha it wasn't that big of a deal, but they were a size too big which caused sore ankles with all the limping/shuffling I was doing.

Films Watched + Notable (New) TV

My favourite by far was Zootopia! I probably grinned the entire film, it was so cute and I love Ginnifer Goodwin + Jason Bateman! The Magicians is also the best new tv show I have started in a while, definitely recommend!

Legend - 3/5
The Dressmaker - 4/5
Zootopia - 5/5
Batman vs Superman - 4/5

The Magicians - 5/5
Daredevil (Season 2) - 3/5
Lucifer - 4/5
DC's Legends of Tomorrow - 4/5

Plants Adopted

This month I got two Devils Ivys! They are beautys! The one on the climbing pole is going really well, the one in the plant stand is going okay but not as well I must admit. My little plant in the swan is doing okay for the moment as well. Just hoping he's got the right amount of light/shade.

One of my little cactus babies didn't make it this month. :'( I'm not sure if the soil wasn't very good, as well as not being enough drainage. The pot is very cute though, so I will have to replace him.

Notable Moments

It was a pretty good month. Going to Melbourne for the Easter Long Weekend was lots of fun too. Kaity and I went to the Melbourne Cat Cafe, which was really cute! There was a lot of kitties to pet and love, and we drank coffee and followed them about the little cafe house.

Just generally having Easter in Melbourne with Josh was great! Don't be confused by his "agh no" face in this photo. This boy loves me very much. He looks after me every time I am sick. When the camera isn't on, it's mostly me who is all like "will ya stop with the million kisses!"

The Jurassic World Exhibition! I love dinosaurs!! So this was like a dream! There is a post coming this week on the Exhibition. In fact it should be the very next post. Stay tuned!

What's in Store for April?

I actually have a long list of cool stuff here, but seeing as I KEEP GETTING SICK. I'm just going to assume April will yet again be a big disappointment! Sigh! I'm going to try my best though to actually get everything published that I want!

I just have to really buckle down and blog more and watch less tv shows! Probably. Also get less sick. So on my days off I can blog. Not just lay on the floor and whimper. About being sick.

  7. I'm sorry to hear that you were sick in March, Tegan, but I'm wishing you all the best in April! I'm LOVING all your outfits. I've got a midi skirt in my wardrobe as a staple piece, too, just because there's a dress code at the university I go to, haha.

I watched Zootopia with the boyfriend this month, too, and fell in LOVE. We couldn't stop chatting about it after the movie ended and agreed that we would rewatch the film a million times.

    Have a great April, Tegan!

  9. Aww, sorry to hear that you keep getting sick! And that sucks about having to get that mole removed but it's better to have it off even if it set you back with your fitness goals and made getting around Melbourne a bit of a pain. Anyway, I love your double buckled bed, I just bought one really similar and it rules! And that swan planter is adorable too.
