This is quite unfortunate, given that having a positive self-image contributes to living a happy life. 

Fortunately, there are steps you can take to improve your self-image and reach your full potential, and here are four of them.

Work towards self-improvement

Working on yourself is a step towards living a satisfying life, and you can learn new things that will add more value to you. One way to self-improve is to read a lot of books to help you increase your knowledge and expose you to new concepts. Another way to improve yourself is to learn a new skill. Skills provide new ways for you to earn additional income when put into good use. They also increase your value in the business world. You can also take online courses, learn new languages, learn to play a new instrument, and so much more.

Help the people around you in every way that you can

There is a deep feeling of joy and fulfilment that comes when you put a smile on someone's face. There are people around you that need your help in one way or another. So you can go out of your way to extend a helping hand to them. Sometimes people need to cry to someone, while others need a listening ear. For some, what they need is financial assistance, while others need food and clothing. Being kind to people makes them feel loved and cared for. Seeing them smile and joyful will, in turn, fill you with satisfaction.
