Fresh Paint

Painting your walls a new colour. One of the easiest and most effective ways to give your home an updated feel is by repainting the walls in a hue that suits you best. Maybe it's time for some fresh, modern colours? If so, think about going with lighter tones - they're easier on your eyes!

Fixtures

If you have an older home with outdated lighting, it's time to think about upgrading them. Look for new chandeliers or pendants that give a more modern and updated feel - something bright without being harsh on the eyes. Some options include a more industrial-style light or a sleek, glass fixture. Or, you could even opt for a more rustic look with a rough-hewn fixture or one made from natural material like wood. If you’d like to go the extra mile, you could even replace your old windows with Louvre windows for an added touch.

Front Door

This might sound silly at first, because who sees the outside of their house all that often? But believe us - people do! And having a bright, bold front door is always going to make you proud. Your front door adds to your home’s overall curb appeal - with a good-looking front door, your house is on its way to being the prettiest on the block!

Gardening

If your yard looks a little drab or there's not much outside except for grass and maybe some trees, planting some colourful flowers in pots will help liven things up around the house. Plus, they're inexpensive, so you don't have to worry about spending too much.

New curtains

If it's been a while since the last time you washed these out and put them back up, now might be a perfect time! Curtains are affordable and can change how a room feels instantly - just think of all the different colours you can choose from! When looking at different types of curtains, think about whether you want them to be sheer or not. Block-out curtains are also great if you want to be able to watch a movie in the middle of the day or take a nap without the sun glaring into your face from outside.

Art

Maybe you've always wanted to put up your own art, or maybe there's something in particular that you've been eyeing? Either way, it doesn't have to be expensive - just head out and pick one out! Home decoration can also include framed photographs if you have some lying around.

By utilizing the above ideas, you’ll have a cozy, upgraded and super personalized home in no time! All that’s left to do now is research for some great ideas and color schemes and you’re ready to start!

  1. That's true fresh paint is an easy way to transform and renovate a house. Art pieces and plants also can be added easily but to maintain plants regular attention is needed. I always think about adding new chandeliers but am not very sure about them so for very long it is just in my mind. To create an outdoor space either at a terrace or building a deck is a very good idea to go for. Thanks for sharing your views and helpful tips.
