May Bellabox

9 June 2016

I'm always keen to see what's going to arrive in my newest Bellabox delivery! My package delivery guy goes, "Just your Bellabox today Tegan." What a legend. If you're new to the world of Subscription boxes, then here's the scoop.

Bellaboxes are nifty little boxes that arrive once a month with a variety of beauty products for you to try out. Most often you get sample sizes but on occasion you'll get the full sized product which is always cool. You also usually get a discount voucher to use to purchase certain products too. Which is a great motivator to buy products if you like them.

Let's take a look what I received this month!

The Aroma Magic Anti Pigmentation Glossy Pack is a different kind of product to one I've ever used before. It's  Loaded with 5 powerful natural active extracts of clove, nutmeg, manjistha, blackberry leaf and pennywort. It is a green type paste you put all over your face and leave on for 20 minutes before washing off with warm water. It's suppose to have a lot of benefits such as helping with acne, dark circles, dry skin and discolouration. I have only used once and I liked it, but I think I would need to use on a regular basis to see any change.

The Derma E Purifying 2 in 1 Mask is meant to both purge your skin of toxins and exfoliate it at the same time. It works by you putting it on like a regular mask. Leaving it until it's completely dry. You'll know as it changes colour. Then adding some warm water to your face and scrubbing like a face wash/exfoliator. My face felt very soft afterwards and I liked using it, but I pretty much had to use the entire sample to cover my face. Which probably isn't the best.

The Palmer's Perfecting Facial Oil is meant for fine lines and wrinkles but I'm actually alright thanks. I did start using around my eyes as I get bags under them. I haven't really noticed much difference but I don't think I'm exactly the target market anyway. Massaging facial oils into the face always feels lovely anyway.

I got to try the Avon Nutra Effects Day Cream and the Night Cream as well in their Radiance range. I only had small samples of each, so not enough to really see if there was any overall results from using the products. But both creams were thick and felt really nice on the skin. The full size products are only $15 each so it may be something I consider in the future.

I got a mini bottle of the John Freida Volume Blow Out Spray. I don't tend to blow dry my hair as it's quite short but I was keen to see if there was more volume afterwards. I don't really know to be honest. It seemed a tad puffier but I never really blow dry so I can't be sure. I'll definitely use my sample a few more times to see how it goes though.

I forgot to swatch the Luma Lipstick but if you click on that link you will see the colour. It is hot pink and is in no way a colour that I wear. I did actually wear it one time but I felt very odd about it. My sister said she will take it as the colour matches her work uniform.

There were a lot more skincare products in this box than usual, which I really do enjoy trialling. Because they're the type of thing you really do want to try before you buy the full size.
I think I will be pushing pause on my subscription for the moment in order to save money. But Bellabox is definitely something I will probably restart in the future.

Do you get a subscription box? Have you tried any of the things in this months box?

  1. I paused all of my sub boxes too, you do end up getting a lot of stuff that you don't use or that doesn't work too well. The charcoal mask sounds nice but not when you use up the entire thing in one application, even being a sample

  2. I love receiving my bellabox, so much fun opening it up and seeing what I received! It looks like we got quite different boxes this month, but I do love that charcoal mask!

  3. I don't think I've actually had any Bella Before but I did sign up to a subscription service back in the day for a few months, I think it was GlossyBox but I found after a while they were pretty hit and miss. It is great to get to try a few different things though, I love a good sample/mini.
